On Sunday we talked about the idea of getting together with other Christians to read the Bible.  What I didn't mention is the fact that this kind of thing can also be a great way to introduce our non-Christian friends to Jesus. If you have a friend that you're talking to about the gospel, what better way to continue and deepen the conversation than by reading through one of the gospel's together.  Ask them if they'd like to get together once a week at lunch, for coffee or whatever to find out more about Jesus from the Bible.  This is a way to let God do the talking and let our friends read for themselves the truths of who Christ is and what He came to do.

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? [15] And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” [16] But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” [17] So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
