We see ministry to kids as a remarkable privilege and opportunity. Because they are made in God’s image they are precious and valuable. And because they are sinners they are in need of a Savior.

Each week a team of volunteers lovingly serve parents and their children in our children’s ministry. They seek to bring the truths of God’s word and the story of the gospel to young ears in an understandable way. Each week, through various activities and crafts, connections and object lessons are given to help emphasize the truths from the lesson. Our volunteers seek to do all this in a way that is loving, safe, creative, and fun for the kids.

Currently, our children's ministry is broken down into three different age groups.

1. Nursery- from birth to 2.5 years

2. Toddler's Church- from 2.5 to 5.5 years

3. Children's Church- from 5.5 years to 5th grade

During the first part of our service our children are with us as we read Scripture, pray, and sing. At a break in the service, parents then take the children to their respective classes.

We ask that parents personally sign their children in and out of their classes each week so we can help ensure the safety of our children and keep lines of communication open between parents and teachers.

Ideally, we desire for our children's ministry to be a supplement to what parents are already doing as they instruct, train, and shepherd their children in their homes. If you are a parent who is looking for help in this or for parenting resources, please come talk to one of the FBC Children's Ministry leaders or to one of the elders.

It is important to us that you as a parent feel confident putting your children into the FBC Children's Ministry. Please know that the line of communication is always open and questions are always welcome.

If you have additional questions please contact Heidi Horio, our children's ministry director.
